With technological advancement, extensive efforts have been made to explore innovative and smart solutions to tackle the combined effect of double ageing for building an age-friendly community.

This season’s symposium aims to facilitate a discussion among cross-sector and trans-disciplinary professionals on how we can leverage existing data and GIS technology to improve the health and wellbeing of elderly in ageing built environment. Through soliciting efforts and driving systematic changes at policy, application, user-oriented design and community level, the season also advocates an age-friendly digital surface that could empower the young olds to self-assess and prepare for age-in-place in their neighbourhoods.
